Frido and the Master Liar

  • Exciting, humorous and realistic: a novel that takes children and their problems seriously
  • Important themes – friendship and family, school and bullying – told with ease
  • ‘Rico and Oskar’ meets ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ in the classroom

No lying allowed! That’s an unwritten rule in Frido’s family. Frido has also learnt all sorts of profiler tricks from his grandad, and he exposes liars straight away! But whoever goes around shouting the truth rarely makes friends – and so Frido has a hard time at school. Until Marek, known as Mesh, joins his class. He’s a pretty cool and mysterious master liar and definitely has a secret. Of course, Frido gets to the bottom of it – nothing could be easier! But then the liar and the profiler become friends, and a big lie threatens to throw both their lives into chaos … An entertaining and profound children’s novel about an outsider who becomes a brave hero and stands up for what matters to him: friendship, family and the realisation that sometimes a little lie can pave the way to a big truth.
