Just before Tim and his parents are about to go on holiday, Tim receives a message from Mrs. Sherry, Grandpa's housekeeper,, who urgently needs Tim’s help at the Museum of Eerie Oddities. His grandpa has gone missing! Together with his clever and brave friend Eta, Tim sets off on a search of Grandpa’s 99-room villa. Passing through one of the countless doors, the children find themselves in a completely different place: Fog Bay. In this idyllic coastal village, they not only find Grandpa Sherry (who needed to urgently return a pair of swimming goggles to a real mermaid). They also realise that time in Fog Bay somehow flows differently than in Moderberg. Utterly spooky!
